Heartland is the best show to ever happen to television. I LOVE HEARTLAND!! This is a little off topic, ok, maybe a lot off topic, but I was just reading through the actor bios and noticed something incorrect. In Kerry James' bio, it states he lived in Dees Lake, in Northern BC. I believe you mean Dease Lake, for as far as I know, there is no Dees Lake in Northern BC, just a Dee Lake in the Okanagan. Wasn't sure who to give the heads up to.

I love the pause for collective yays! That made me laugh! Anyway, I can't wait for this weeks episode! It looks amazing! Poor Tim just can't get it right with the ladies. Callie broke up with him, Marion died and they divorced, and now Janice moved to the competion! GO LIGHTNING DEXTER! It looks like an awesome episode and I can't wait until the Heartland Christmas Special! I also am looking forward to an extra hour of sleep on Sunday! I'm a big racing fan and I never heard anything saying than place can be first or show can be second or first too. Every race result they talk about place being the second place and show the third place

I am really excited about the new Heartland episoide. This seems like it is going to be full of drama. (But, hey, what heartland episoide isn't full of drama?) I think that Badger stole the car. He's going to then have a wonderful meeting with Clint that may,or may not, have him booted fromn heartland. Calebis going to buy Ashely a house. Which is probably the stuipidest bthing he could do right now.

In terms of betting, FreeSpirit is correct.

If you bet to Win, your horse must place first in order to collect.

If you bet to Place, your horse must place first or second in order to collect. However, if your horse comes in second, you collect a smaller amount than if your horse were to come in first.

If you bet to Show, your horse must place first, second, or third. Again, your collect a smaller amount if the horse comes in third or second.

This system allows you to have a better chance at winning some money, even if your horse does not come in first.

But if in betting term Free Spirit is correct, in racing term BW is correct. After every race, the horse finishing 2nd is ,'place'' and the hors finishing 3rd is for ''Show''. You just look at racing results or at the photo finish, like ''photo for show'' is a photo finish for the 3rd place

hey!! just a thought... Janice and Tim might still be together. maybe Janice is racing someone else's horse for a good reason. she might be trying to make that person loose (though that would make her as a jockey look bad) or maybe Tim and Janice might not want everyone at the track to know that they have more than a business relationship. just some ideas.... we'll find out tonight!!

OMG! The Amy and TY scenes in Heartland are always my favourite but these were just extra cute!!! Loved this episode! Ashley and Caleb, Amy and Ty, Lou and Peter! Mallory and Badger! If only there was some Jack and Lisa stuff, I would be jumping through the roof right now! I'm just on this adrenaline high from the entire episode!

Jack is hot, hot, HOT!!! Love watching his crusty, but adorable character.

Wow, I can't believe it's already the first season. I LOVE Heartland so much! I want to grow up to be exactly like Amy Flemming. She's so amazing! Can't wait until next weeks episode. This weeks one was funny. Amy did so well on Dexter. 3rd place is awesome!!!

I just stumbled across the site from Beta Films announcing 89 episodes of Heartland. To me this sounds like there will be a Season 5 plus another two-hour special or the 5th season has 20 episodes. Do you know anything? I know normally a new season is announced right before Christmas. I did not want to post it on the community because I am not sure if this is correct. Can you confirm it?

After having seen this episode i now know what the perfect episode looks like!
I loved it. I loved teh ending, cute scenes for everyone! especially amy and ty...which i know these will be ending shortly....i have a bad feeling about them....since ty didnt tell her about blair.
What i hope amy understands is that Ty came from a different background it is is harder for him to trust people than her....so i hope she forgives him.
ehh i am dreading the day that they break up...so i hope it doesnt happen!

Also, I think you're all right regarding the Win/Place/Show dilemma... My understanding is that in terms of finishing, Win = 1st, Place = 2nd, and Show = 3rd. However, in terms of BETTING, if you put money on a horse to win, you think it'll come in first. If you put money on a horse to place, you think it'll come in either first or second; show either first, second, or third.

Super episode. Lots of adventure, humour and action.

Great episode, as always! I can't wait for this Thursday's blog post. When I read the post on Thursday, it always makes my week (until Heartland comes on!). So, I just want to thank BW for doing this for us! We have to realize how much work must go into each post. Plus, how many other shows do you know of that are so open to fans?

I liked this show but i found it a little flat, there wasn't much that happened that really excited me. I just hope that there is more focus on Ty and Amy. And Badger because he's pretty cool. I am not saying that I didn't enjoy this episode I did I just found it a little flat thats all. But you guys did great, I can't wait for the two hour Christmas show in December I am so excited, GOOD JOB CREW!!! Heartland is the best.

Aha i knew i would love this episode! I thought it was absolutely hilarious the whole situation with Badger, Jack and the car. The horse race was awesome and i was surprised that Janice helped Amy train, i guess she's not as bad as i thought.... Next weeks episode looks really good. You always know there's gonna be lot's of drama when Kit shows up. Can't wait!

I'm sooo excited! The only thing is I live in the U.S. so I can only watch them on youtube and nobody has posted anything yet...:(. I keep checking like every 10 minutes :). Why oh why can't the episodes stream in the U.S. too???? So sad right now....waiting....waiting...

Seriously, I wish there was more interaction between (Caleb, Ashley) and the rest of the Heartland cast. It seems that Caleb and Ashley have had only split seconds of air time this season and it is always disconnected from the story line. I think the episode of "Hanley barn" was such a hit because all the young people were involved together. TO THE WRITERS: Perhaps more episodes involving the young people of Heartland is in order!!!!

I knew that the car Badger "bought" was going to be stolen.I can't wait for the next episoide. Because Kit is going to be there, of course there is sure to be alot of drama. I also feel that Ashely is going to be greatly affected by the drama between Amy, Kit and Caleb. Also, it was good to see Ty's bad boy side again. He was helping Badger out with to return the stolen car. His great ,bad ideas were shown again. I hope the rest of the season is a s good as the last episoide.

Hi BW I have a question for you.....on episode 405 when Mallory and Badger fell in that big hole.. Mallory looked like she smacked her head good on the side when they fell through the boards...did 'Mallory' or a stunt person get injured making that scene?

This was one amazing episode! I loved it. One of my top 5 favorites!!!! Amy was great, Mallory & Badger were adorable, but most of all, what stood out to me was TY! Haha, he was GREAT in this episode... he was so perfect for Amy and was there exactly where she needed him. Wonderful episode! Two thumbs up, five-stars, whatever you want to say, but just another fantastic Heartland episode. I

Well, this is rather late in the week for me to post about this last episode, but I wasn't able to watch it until yesterday. So, here's what I thought about the episode.

AWESOME!!!!!

Amy's is becoming such a GREAT character. I think this is the year the she really is "finding" herself in. She has become SO much more mature an hasn't overreacted at all this season!!
Loved Ty too. Although, I do think that he shouldve told Jack about the stolen car. Ah, well at least Bianca got her car back!! Lol oooh the ending was hilarious! I laughed so hard when Ty said that he earned 365...cents on a $2 bet. Gosh he has such a good sense of humour.
I was VERY glad with the Lou and Peter situation. That was so sweet of Peter to give Lou the diamond bracelet. And good for Lou for saying that her home is wherever Peter's is. But it's nice to know also, that Peter doesn't want to stop Lou from not being at home. I hope that she doesn't leave, though :(. That would be very sad.
Caleb and Ashley...aaaaw! That was so sweet of Caleb to get Ashley an engagment ring and a new wedding band. He does love her to pieces :).
I'm starting to like Janice more now. She was really great with helping Amy train. I hope we see more of her!

Well, that's all I can manage to write now (iPods are hard to type on! Lol). I'm looking forward to this coming episode! Yay! Kit is back!!

What a great episode. Loved it. I am glad about the development of Janice. Maybe she is the right woman for Tim. The last scene was so great. Tim: "Do you want to let me in?" Janice: "Maybe... when I am back from Edmonton." Door closed. Tim`s face. Lol.

And also the scene with Amy after the race. "I overreacted...I stopped thinking straight." Hey this really sounds like self-improvement on Tim`s side ;)

I am so looking forward to the next ep although it sounds like Tim might be making a fool out of himself again... ;)

I thought Tim's girlfriend was great for him. Just the right type of character. I love to see a strong woman like that stand up to him!! He can be such a jerk! She's a keeper!

sorry heartland.. but i hae read ll the books and loved them, i was so stoked that they were making the books into a tv series but you have gone too far on this one....

I am a jockey and this show is insulting!! you DONT show up at a racetrack and get to race horses.. it takes tons of time and lots of experience... you DONT just get to waltz up and get to go into the gate... it is a very dangerous spot and the more experienced iders do the gate work. This "lady who is a top jockey" they ride like the are riding english!!! we dont rie that long, we are lucky if our stirrups are 6 inches i length... we ride with more than one pair of googles.. and 12 furlongs get real. thats a pretty long race for a b track. And after the race the horse has tendonitis? wtf they can get bowed tendons.. blown suspensory... not tendonitis... I think you shoulda done a little more research into this industy before you severl insulted it... i wish i could say more on here but i think you made complete idiots all by yourselves when the entire racing community who used to watch and love you show turned their backs on it....

i hpe evenif this doesnt get posted you guys smarten up about your research... and NOBODY rides in a STAKES race their FIRST race as well... grrrrr

@Kristin "A Heartland christmas" is brand new this year! :) They filmed it in febuary I believe although I may be wrong.
