Roughly every seven years Halloween falls on a Sunday and as you know, that's what's happening in 3 days time. So a decision had to be made: do we run the terrific new episode 406 (which is totally awesome, by the way) or... do we hold off on the new episode until next week to allow everyone who wants to go trick or treating this Sunday dressed like a ghost or a zombie or Amy or Caleb (!) to be able to enjoy themselves, without freaking out that they are missing a new episode of Heartland?
So: Halloween won out, and this week CBC will be broadcasting the popular spooky episode from last year, "The Haunting of Hanley Barn." Click though to the blog post for a video message from Amber Marshall, and some stuff about the episode you never knew!

If you are in the Toronto area, make sure you come on down (plus, you get to pet cows, which is my favourite part of the RWF...)

One of the things I really enjoy when I pore over the ever-growing number of comments on the blog and on Facebook is reading what all of you would like to see in upcoming Heartland episodes. I think everyone knows that the series has taken on a deserved life of its own and now that over 50 episodes have been produced it must be clear to everyone that some things in the excellent series of Lauren Brooke novels upon which Heartland is based are not going to materialize in the television series.
After all, who wants to see Ty go into a two year coma??? Not me!!!
Also, if the television series had copied the books exactly as written then Tim would have vanished to Australia and we wouldn't have a Mallory!
And this brings us to this Sunday's episode - the 53rd 1-hour episode in the Heartland saga - Episode 404, entitled "Graduation." Written by Mark Haroun and directed by Dean Bennett, the same writer/director team that gave us "The Haunting of Hanley Barn" last season, "Graduation" is going to make a lot of you pretty happy, based on what you've been asking for! Click though to the blog post for exclusive scoop on the episode, and more photos!

Hi everyone! As promised, here are the Vancouver winners of the Facebook Fan video contest!
On the off chance that you don't know what I'm talking about, here's the background: last month we ran a contest on the Official Heartland Facebook page inviting fans to upload a short video explaining why they would be the ideal person to interview Amber Marshall and Graham Wardle, on camera, in Toronto or Vancouver. Click through to the blog post to find out about the Vancouver winners, watch the interview and check out some pictures!

As you probably know, last month we ran a contest on the Official Heartland Facebook page whereby fans could upload a short video explaining why they would be the ideal person to interview Amber Marshall and Graham Wardle, on camera, in Toronto or Vancouver. I gotta tell you - we got some really great funny/silly/serious/enthusiastic submissions. It was a hoot, and we're totally going to do something like this again. Click through to the blog post to find out about the Toronto winner, watch the interview and check out some pictures!

OMG! Wow!! Yikes!!! No, seriously - ouchamagoucha!!! If I had known how much excitement posting that one little ol' photo of Chase (I'm pretty sure that is Chase) and Amy (At least I think it's Amy) would have generated on Monday I would never have done it.
Oh, who am I trying to fool? Of course I love dropping subtle (and sometimes unsubtle) hints, leaks and whatnot about what is coming later in the season and right around the corner THIS SUNDAY, when another new episode - Episode 403 - Road Curves, written by Heather Conkie and directed by Dean Bennett, is broadcast in Canada on the CBC at 7:00pm (7:30pm in Newfoundland). Click through to the blog to find out all about it, and more!

Now I can sleep at nights again! Sorry for getting this to you so late, because we were hoping to post this much earlier than today. One reason for postponement led to another, and then all of a sudden we were caught up in first the U.S. Series launch and then the Canadian 4th Season launch and I wanted to make sure Tom's answers didn't get lost in a flurry of blog posts. So for everyone who was looking forward to Stunt Coordinator Tom Eirikson's answers - including the constantly reminding Free Spirit (and I thank you for that, Heartland fan!) - here they are! Click through to the blog for Tom's answers.
