**Hi everyone! I've updated this post with the final details for both Toronto and Vancouver. Don't miss it!**
As you may have heard on this blog, from September 24 to 26, Canada will celebrate Culture Days, the largest-ever collective public participation campaign undertaken by the arts and cultural community in Canada. As Canada's leading and largest cultural organization, CBC is excited to be the National Broadcast Partner for Culture Days.
Now, there are two particular times and places that'll be of special interest to Heartland fans, because Amber Marshall and Graham Wardle will be in both places! Click though for details!
In Toronto, Thursday Sept 23
To kick off Culture Days, CBC will take over Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square on Thursday, September 23 for an unprecedented day of programming and events, including live broadcasts, activities and a free concert. The celebration, CBC CELEBRATES THE ART OF BROADCASTING, also presents an exciting opportunity for CBC to showcase the incredible line-up of stars hitting the screen for the fall season. So, Heartland Fans, that means Amber and Graham will be meeting fans and signing autographs from 5PM - 7PM in Dundas Square (look for the tent!) If it's raining, there will be a contingency plan, but it's NOT getting cancelled, and there will be plenty of signs!
In Vancouver, Sunday Sept 26
In Vancouver CBC has teamed up with the "Word on the Street Festival" and thousands are enjoying a day jam-packed with author readings, exhibits, performances, and all-round literary mayhem. As part of Culture Day in Vancouver, audiences will have an opportunity to meet many of CBC television and radio stars. So, if you're in Vancouver, join Amber and Graham for a great day of Canadian Culture and entertainment at CBC Vancouver - 700 Hamilton Street - Studio 700. The "meet the cast" session that they'll be doing will be from 1:00PM to 2:00PM inside Studio 700, and then there will be more autograph signing outside the CBC until 3:00 or so.
So if you are close by either city, DON'T MISS IT!!!

Hey Blog Whisperer one question. Do you have to be a certain age to enter the contest?
[Blog Whisperer: There are no age restrictions on either the Fan Video contest (which ends this evening!) or the "Win Amy's Hat etc." contest.]

I still have heard nothing from IKOR Images about the pictures from the Orangeville, Ontario rodeo. I still haven't been able to complete the order for the pictures taken with Amber Marshall. Has anyone else had this same problem? Does the Blog Whisperer know anything on this? Would Amber Marshall know(she might)? Does anyone out there know? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Blog Whisperer: Stand by, Timothy. It doesn't really have anything to do with me (or the CBC) but I will certainly call someone about this for you to try to get things moving. May I give them your email address?]

Hey Amber or the Blog Wisperer, I would love so much to be able to meet Amber, but sadly I can't go to Toronto. It would be so neat if I could meet her, maybe even in Calgary because my aunt lives there!!! Hopefully I win the contest but I know that who ever wins it will be so lucky!!

Hey, I was wondering if, in vancouver, they will have posters available to be signed by Amber and Graham or if we will need to bring something of or own if we want a signature?
[Blog Whisperer: They will have postcard-type things there (cast photos) but you can also feel free to bring your own thing to sign.]

BW, I am so heartbroken! I just got home from Yonge-Dundas Square where I waited almost an hour to meet Amber & Graham. I was only FOUR people away from meeting them when they stopped the line. Then Amber & Graham LEFT and it was only 5:50! I just wanted to say if there are only going to be appearances for a limited amount of time, us fans should be given this info ahead of time. I am really upset.
[Blog Whisperer: Okay… here's the deal:
The original plans involved a signing from 5PM to 7PM. At some point, the organizers changed things and redirected all the people (from other shows as well as Heartland) to a 6:00 re-shuffle instead.
This sucks. I totally agree, but I want to make it absolutely clear that Amber and Graham had NOTHING to do with this change - in fact they would have happily stayed until midnight if that was what was scheduled. So please don't blame them.
In events like this, TV people end up having to follow a big convoluted schedule and usually everything turns out alright, but sometimes there are glitches, and we all just have to roll with them, especially who you're talking about hundreds of fans.
So all I can say is (even though I'm not really in charge of this sort of thing...) that I will make sure that I do my very best to make sure that we avoid situations like this in the future - I promise. But when it comes right down to it, neither I, nor your favourite Heartland people, can guarantee stuff like this - we can only do our best. ]

BW, I understand completely it wasn't Amber & Graham's decision to leave early. I was close enough to hear Amber suprisely say to Graham "We're done?" after the event coordinator came to break them the news at 5:50.
But being there and seeing the tent setup and the list of CBC stars set to be present, there is no way all the stars would have fit under the tent at the same time. So I don't understand how the event coordinator couldn't have realized this ahead of time. I would have come much earlier if only I had known Amber and Graham would only be present for 50 minutes.
I just really wanted their autographs and to meet them. All I'm left with is pictures of them having their pictures taken with other fans, and then finally, two empty chairs.

I have to be honest - ever since I waited at Yonge Dundas Square to try and meet Amber & Graham and just get a simple autograph - and when I didn't get to do so because it turns out they were only scheduled to meet fans for 50 mins versus the 2 hrs CBC said they would be there (no fault of Amber & Graham's, I understand) this has left a bad taste in my mouth with the show. I absolutely loved the show before and now I just feel betrayed - the show isn't the same for me anymore. I wish I had never even tried to meet them.
[Blog Whisperer: Check your email - I've responded to you directly on this. ]
