As we know... Season 4 of Heartland consists of 18 brand new one-hour episodes, the first of which premiered across Canada last Sunday on CBC at 7:00pm. This Sunday the Heartland saga continues with the premiere broadcast of Episode 402 - "What Dreams May Become," written by Ken Craw and directed by Grant Harvey. This is an episode where Amy scratches the surface to discover that Nick Harwell's problems with his polo ponies, Lou's life in Dubai and Tim's relationship with his jockey are not what they appear to be... Did the 50th episode of Heartland meet your expectations? Reading all the comments in here (both on the blog and in the community posts), on Facebook AND on Twitter it seems the 4th Season Premiere was a hit with most of you! Some of you will be saying, "It's about time!!!!" and I for one will echo that sentiment. Across the country everyone has been chomping at the bit (nice horse reference, huh?) for this Sunday to arrive and now here it is, just 3 days away!
Before I tell you a bit about the photos I've posted and tell you a tiny bit more about "Homecoming", the premiere episode of Season 4 and the 50th episode overall of Heartland, I want to take a moment to commend a lot of you for your speculation on the 15 second teaser to the season premiere. Some of you have come somewhat close to guessing what is going on, while others have asked some very interesting questions, some of which will indeed be answered. Maybe not this Sunday... but on a Sunday in the very near future. All in all, you've been brilliant as usual and it's a lot of fun reading what you've posted. The same goes for my recap. I left A LOT out so as not to give anything away. So if I seem vague on something, this is why. I have been sworn to secrecy by the cast and crew (horses too!). All of the photos you will see were not taken during filming; THEY SHOULD GIVE NOTHING AWAY. They were taken during breaks or blocking. Some have been cropped as well. CBC is having a huge shindig in association with Culture Days on
Thursday, September 23 at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto
and on
Sunday, Sept 26th at CBC Vancouver, Studio 700 (700 Hamilton Street) in Vancouver!
Both days will be filled with activity - come on down and have a chance to meet some of your favourite CBC stars, including Heartland's Amber Marshall and Graham Wardle!

Howdy everyone! Well, it's here... The first of many Heartland contest of the year. Head on over to the entry form at cbc.ca/heartland/contest and sign in for a chance to win Seasons 1&2 on DVD, as well as a signed cast photo, AND one of Amy's cowboys hats, worn by Amber Marshall on a bunch of episodes (and signed inside by Amber!)
Please note that this contest is only for Canadian residents, but we'll have other opportunities for you international fans in the future! I promise!
A couple of quick reminders while I've got you here:
1) Don't forget that Amber, Shaun, Michelle, Graham and Jessica (that's Amy, Jack, Lou, Ty and Mallory) are going to be meeting fans and signing away this Saturday (that's TOMORROW!!!) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Spruce Meadows Masters. Things are certainly ramping up for the fourth season of Heartland. In just two and a half weeks or 17 short days "Homecoming" (the season premiere formerly known as "Reunion") will hit everyone's television screens, on Sunday, September 26 at 7:00pm.
