THE OFFICIAL HEARTLAND BLOG

It's the Heartland Trivia Contest! Win Season One and Season Two DVDs

Well, now that we have survived February, the month of March is going to be exciting. Every Sunday will have a new episode from Season 3 AND we are going to have a weekly online trivia contest for the next 4 weeks in advance of the April 6 release of Season 2's DVD set. Click though for the details!

That's right folks, E1 will not only be releasing Season 2 as a complete 5 disk set, complete with lots of exciting extras, but they are separately re-releasing Season 1 as a complete 4 disk set on the same date!

Both seasons will be available online and in stores in the first week of April, but for the next four weeks you have the opportunity to win both seasons of Heartland on DVD.

To do so, go to www.cbc.ca/heartland/contest/ and answer the trivia question correctly, complete the contest form and you will be eligible to win the prize. Check back every week - there will be a new trivia question and a new two-season DVD prize each week for the next 4 weeks. (Please note that the contest is only open to Canadian residents.)

Put your thinking caps on, because the questions may be a little difficult. For the first one, I'm starting you off easy... Good luck!

Enter the contest here!

**UPDATE**
If you had trouble entering because of the "over 18" age restriction, that was a mistake. Try it again. It should let you enter now.

Wow, great contest! Too bad that I live in Germany. So I don't get the chance to win something :(
Anyway, good luck everyone living in Canada!

This is an awesome idea! Why do you have to be 18 to enter in it though?

[Blog Whisperer: Oops! That was a mistake. It's fixed now - there wasn't supposed to be an age restriction. Try it again!]

Hey, Blog Whisperer, I have a question for you: ;) Do that DVDs (season one and season two) of Heartland have subtitles in Spanish or Portuguese? Answer me, please, I'll be so glad if you do it!!! Thanks, Débora.

How come the united states can't enter their state and city? that just doesnt seem fair if its for people only in canada beacuse evryone wround the world watches heartland and comes on this website. Just wondering why this was cause i wood like to enter this contest.

[Blog Whisperer: It's because it's really complicated to do, legally. That's why we poor Canadians can pretty much never enter contests like this in the U.S.A. I hate it, but there's nothing I can do.]

Hi, I have a question for the contest...I'm living in Quebec and i'm the only person in my house who can speak english. If I win, am I gonna receive a call at my house? Cause if I'm not home and someone else answer, they won't understand :(

[Blog Whisperer: It would most likely be an email to the address you provide on the form]

[Blog Whisperer: Hi Jill! So sorry, but no. I explained why in the comments above.]

Hey blog whisperer! I was just wondering.....What will happen if i enter the contest twice??????
And by the way , Heartland contest....Great idea!!!!!=)

[Blog Whisperer: THE WORLD WILL END!!!! Actually, that may be a bit of an overstatement. What actually happens is that you disqualify yourself for that week. Every Friday though, there will be a new question, so THEN you can enter again!]

Hi BW,
I just wanted to let you know that when I entered I had to put my age as 18, which I am not. So when I enter next week's, I'll put my actual age. Will you change the age that I put on this week's or just leave it? Thanks!!

[Blog Whisperer: I'll just leave it. It'll be our little secret ; ) ]

Because the contest is only for Canadians-is it possible to buy the dvds online even if you live in New Zealand?

[Blog Whisperer: I think you can. You can certainly order them from Amazon.com or Amazon.ca. You should double check though that they aren't region-encoded (some DVD's won't play out side of a geographical area), plus, North American DVDs (and TVs) are NTSC format, whereas I think NZ uses PAL (which means that it won't even play) meaning the Amazon.co.uk might be the best bet, because they use PAL as well. This is all super-complicated I know. I really think that your best bet is to go to your local (large) dvd retailer and see if you can order it. That way you can be SURE it'll work for you.) I hope this helps.]

Aww man! Sounds like so much fun, but as close as I live to the US/Canada border, I still don't quite qualify. =P bummer. But I totally get that it's too complicated to do it outside of Canada, guess I'll just have to buy them online! xD
