After seven new episodes of Season 2 of Heartland this Sunday we are going to rerun the Season Premiere. Why? Well, this Sunday also happens to be the day of the annual Canadian classic known as The Grey Cup. We know a lot of Canadians are going to be at parties and watching the game, and we suspect that includes a lot of Heartland fans. So we are taking a week off from our new episodes and once again running this season's first episode.
But don't worry, next week ‑ November 30 ‑ we are going to be back with an all new episode, at which time you will get to meet Ty's father, who drops by the Heartland Ranch under unusual circumstances. It will be a must‑see hour of Heartland!
If you haven't yet seen the Season Premiere, ...
then this Sunday at 7:00pm on CBC gives you the opportunity to again watch it on television. This is the episode where we meet Mallory's dad (played by George Canyon), and we meet the new ranch hand at the Heartland Ranch, Caleb Odell (played by Kerry James) and we see Ty's return to Heartland ‑ although
not everyone is thrilled upon his arrival.
Here are some photos from the first episode.

Aaaaah, that makes sense. So the people at Heartland haven't gone crazy. And hey, it's a good episode-- I wouldn't mind watching it again. Just so long as it's not the same annoying episode of Jeapardy ahead of it.

:(
I was really psyched for the new episode too!!
I even said that my dad could erase the episode from last week, because there was going to be a new episode tomorrow and I didn't need to watch it over and over anymore! oh well, at least I can watch it online, even if it isn't in HD :(
But I guess it's good to take a break every once in a while, especially with the Grey Cup and all, but I wish I hadn't been so excited to see this new episode. BTW, who else is sad that there's only like 7 episodes left in the WHOLE SEASON!! I'm probably gonna cry on the season finale! :(
Oh well, have a fun time making your christmas list this week guys!
~Love a Heartland fan (Who's hoping to get riding lesson money this Christmas)

Thanks for considering CFL fans! By the way, the music on the show is excellent. I listen to the music from the Heartland site at work when I can,,,so much better than pop radio stations. It's Heartland music or the CBC of course...

I would just like to say as a lover of horses and the country side of Alberta Heartland rocks. I watch it every week and even when I was working on the Race Track I made sure I was home in time to watch, even if I happened to have horses in that day. I just wanted to tell you how much I love this show I always wanted to know what it would be like to ride a horse on TV some people just get all the luck.

I thought so. I love the CFL, so if it was a new episode, I probably would have been watching it on here anyways. Thanks for the consideration. (: Gargh, I wanted Montreal to win though, because I'm a diehard Eskimos fan. Well, you win some, you lose some. The next episode looks great, though. :D Can't wait for Sunday!

Im actually scared to watch the next episode. I'm in the middle of reading the 17th book of heartland (which this next episode is based on) and so far during the book its so sad that I can't stop crying! I'm so worried this episode is going to be just as sad and gruesome as the book. Also, I want to finish the book before I watch the show:P
I better finish reading before Sunday!! hehe

(about book 17) umm..it actually is gruesome, i just watched the episode and that wasn't half as bad as the book and it was pretty sad-i mean a horse was shot after being in agony, and torture. Like, during the book they talk about the sitchs' the horses are in and its revolting! anyone who loves and cares for animals as much as i do, will understand! sorry if i freaked anyone out.
luvv ya! :)

The real world is like that, it does happen all the time. I don't know why people would cry over something made up. The books are way better then the show. Horses get shot all the time, they get beaten and trampled all the time. Some director or something is really sensitive. I mean Pegasus was suppost to die and Mrs. Belle was suppost to die. Is it so hard to get it straight? It's not real!

@TV Fan;
The producers knew what they're doing, they weren't getting "mixed up" or "forgetting" what happened in the books. They're not that stupid. They're strategic. If you have too much death, it loses it's drama. They want (at least, the way I see it) the most important death in Heartland, the mother's, to seem extremely tragic. If you want to see people dying off, watch Lost or Prison Break. Heartland is supposed to be Happy. Aaaaand people cry over made up stuff because people are just like that. That's the real world-- get used to it, Toughie.
