Great show. Glad it came back for a second season. Looks like Scott is turning into a real jerk, and maybe your writers will get her involved with the Mountie(would be a good match). Like the way the love triagles are being depicted, and hope Jack sticks it out with his gal. Would like to see more of Amy doing her stuff with the horses, and bring out more of the healing procedures. Sometimes it looks like Mallory is getting too much attention in the show, and you should be careful that too many roles take away from the real heart of the show.

I loved this episode as always but I realy wish Scott and Lou would get back together.

I loved this episode! It was a really sad story though, but I'm glad everything worked out! Can't wait for the next episode!!!

Whoa! Too much going on in this episode. So many stories in this one and none of them really developed for the full dramatic and emotional effect. And in the end, Amy blows off Ty AGAIN. This is becoming way too predictable, and Amy's coming across as pretty selfish. Too much like Ashley. I like the Lou story. Scott's just too afraid of Lou. She deserves someone with confidence and sophistication, like Nick or Constable Mark!

i really really liked last nights episode... but yeah, i feel so bad for ty! i mean amy keeps getting busy, i was like "ok, you nkow he means a lot to you so why dont you tell someone else to wait" i wish lou and scott would get back together but her and constable mark looked like they would make a cute pair.
im really excited for next week's episode :D

I just have one question. I don't remember Caleb being in any of the Heartland books, so I really wonder what's going to happen to him in latter episodes. And Ty is awsome.

It's nice to have a humble show on television again. I live in the area of the mountains where these beautiful scenes are taken, it's breath taking. I also enjoy my quiet and peaceful Sunday night watching Heartland.

The show brings a reality to everyday living in the coultry,, I love it. If I had a choice, this would definately be a show I would like to be invovled with(on a working level).

All I can say is: season 2 Heartland is getting better and better!! For me personally, a couple of the first episodes didn't really make my chic-side scream, but with last episode I went horse... okay, okay, sorry, but I couldn't help but put that in. I disagree with anyone who disagrees with what Heartland producers are doing, and I'm ready to take them on in a battle of words! Defend Heartland to the death! Why? Well, here's a couple of reasons...
1. Ashley. Talk about taking a character and making something with them. Last season everybody hated her; but we got a few peaks of her more likable side. This season, she's one of my favourite characters. She's evil, but we can understand her. Hey, we can see ourselves in her too. Okay, I can, anyway.
2. Caleb. According to me he's no real hottie, but he makes me curious. What's going on behind that macho facade? I mean it's a facade... right? There's more to him, I can feel it, and I can't wait to find out.
3. Jack and Lisa. There's so sweet together, but they've got their ups and downs. But you can also count on them being faithful to each other, even if it's hard at times, and even if it means morphing from a goat to a sheep.
4. Jake!!! Mr. Newbie is so cute in a "poor little guy" way. You can't help but feel sorry for him.
5. The balance! It's got horses, it's got drama, it's got pretty girls and hot guys, it's got action, guns, fire, kissing, little old ladies WHO DIDN'T DIE (she went to hospital, everybody, and Sugarfoot was staying temporarily with those bratty kids! Did I watch that episode too many times or is it everybody else not really paying attention??... okay, okay, I watched the episode too many times I'll admit it) and it's even got lots of car crashes (another one next episode?)
Fine, fine, I've ranted on enough. I'm going to go take my meds. But seriously, sit back and enjoy the show cause it's the best one on!

wow.... pretty interesting episode. in my opinion, i think scott is being a jerk! also, caleb should stop messing around with amy and ty. at the end, you could tell that ty was really upset. as for the next episode, it looks REALLY cool. although, i don't know what's happening when amy is driving. she doesn't have a licence!! maybe ashley was drinking, and amy had to drive. when they crash, i hope it isn't too bad. if ashley was drinking, i think she would be upset with her mother. she is only 16, though! anyways, so far, this has been a great season. thx to all the heartland cast!

i think it was great. yaaaa amy finally healed a horse! im so confused with whats going on with amy and ty. are they together or not??? i think that the question alot of people want answered. i got to meet them yesterday at the royal and it was funny seeing them in person then on the tv screen :)

I dont like Caleb, Amy and Ty need to get back together and Amy needs to stop taking Ty for granted. She's gonna lose him and its gonna be her fault then shes just gonna complain about it.

Mallory and her boyfriend make me laugh. I love her!

It's so good to see Jack and Lisa again. So Lisa has a suit tailored for Jack...hmmm. She would know that Jack only wears a suit for weddings and funerals. Lisa's a forward-thinking kind of woman...Is she making sure that Jack has something to wear for an upcoming special occasion? With all the girl trouble around Heartland, Jack will soon need some help advising or steering clear of all the ill-fated romances that seem tio be going on.

This was a really good episode, kinda dull though, i was expecting more. I just wish that Amy, Ty, Scott and Lou would stop running away from their problems and just face them, its obviouse that the respective couples like each other, why not just say it?

THIS WAS AN AMAZING SHOW!!!!!!!! I think Lou should get together with Nick or the Constable because they are so AWESOME!!!!!!! I was so confused though because i thought Mrs. Bell died Like a while ago and they sold sugarfoot to her cousins??????? and i thought Nick was a showjumper not a person who does polo!!!! but thats ok it was still an amazing episode just like every singlre episode of heartland!!!!!!

Dude! I feel so bad for both Scott and Lou. It was so cute how Jake and Mallory ended up back together again. I feel Bad for Ty too. He's trying so Hard and keeps getting shut down or taunted. I think Amy's giving him mixed signals. I also liked how Lisa and Jack had their little argument but still trusted each other. And I really like How we're beginning to see more DYNAMIC BETWEEN Ashley and her mom. BTW Shayna ms. Bell didn't die. She had a heart attack or something and was in the hospital. But she died in the books.

Hi I love your show I can relate to it so much I had a 4 year old horse and I had rescued him and I had to train him. But i just lost him I had to sell him. It was the hardest thing ever. just like Amy I want to have a farm in Alberta And even though Amy is only played By Amber I can relate to her and it feels like you are Amy from the books I am also learning the methods that you use and join up really does work. Love your show and love you guys. Keep it up. and never stop!!!!

I also thought Mrs. Bell died last year....I think the show is having a great 2nd season but the acting and how characters relate to one another is lacking (sorry). There is a significant lack of communication between most characters and there are a lot of silent moments in the episodes this year. It makes them drag too much. The characters of Mallory, Lou, Jack and Tim are the only ones who are really showing some real life personality and are the only ones interesting to watch. I'm not sure if that is an acting problem the other characters are having, or just the lack of interaction they have with one another...i.e poor screen writing.

I liked the episode, like other people have said I like that there was some horse healing in it again- which was why I started to watch the show in the first place... I too thought that the owner of Sugarfoot had died last year, and had to rewatch the previous episode to clear my own confusion- she didn't die, but it left it off with a feeling that she wouldn't be able to care for Sugarfoot on her own and that he was going to her daughter... Keep up the good show- love the fact that it is Canadian!

WOOOOOOOH! this was a good episode cause it got back into the horse healing and all, but I also thought it was mostly filler compared to some other episodes. I really likes Lous story this episode and even Ashley's was entertaining. Amy is such a philanderer! Getting all jealous cause Ty was TALKING
to another girl, then SHE goes and basically betrays him by going out with Caleb! I mean, it'd be reallly boring if it was all lovey dovey all the time, but still!!!! It's frustrating. She doesn't react like a normal person would. I still love the show, but.... you know.
Next week looks interesting, "Save Ashley... from herself" DUN, Dun, Dun, Dun.(HA,Ha)

That episode was pretty predictable. Mallory has seriously fallen for Jake (adorable). Oh...Amy has offically lost Ty, better yet he's lost her. Well that's what you get for leaving for 4 months! THey will get back together obviously. I hate Caleb. He's a real jerk! I hated how he smirked at Ty when he was leaving with Amy. If I was Ty I would have beat the crap out of him and boot him off the property. Hate how Scott acted! He is such a jerk. Can't he tell Lou loves him?! If she got together with Nick or that mountie guy THAT would be hilarious. Loved seeing AMy get back into healing horses. Need more of it!!! I miss that. I mean, isn't healing horses what Heartland's about? Anyway...loved the episode. I can't wait for next week even though I know what's going to happen! :)

I loved the episode up until the part where you see Caleb coming to pick Amy up. Then Ty is just left standing there. Even Jack, Lou and Mallory were all sad at the fact. I hope something begins to blossom between the RCMP guy (who is really attractive I might add) and Lou, just out of spite for what Scott is doing. I hope Caleb does or says something to Amy that offends her in some way so she can see what a jerk he is. Like something with Ashley. I love the show though, i'm a big fan and have been since the starting. I'm looking forward to next week. I didn't get to see the previews but I heard i've read it's going to be the rodeo.

I LOVED the 206 episode! Although i wished that Amy would have just told Ty what she was doing on Sunday ... or was it Saturday and why she was going with Caleb (who i personally see as the hot one) so i didn't have to see the saddest look on Ty's face when she walked out on him!!!!!! Maybe i shoudl explain my analigy a little bit. I like Caleb more then Ty, because although Ty has gotten in some fights and HAD a bad side he's a really nice guy and he is PERFECT for Amy. Ty is ... i don't know ... theres something about him i don't agree with. Maybe it's because he never says what he feels at the right time or goes running away without telling the girl he just kissed, but theres something there that i'm uneasy about. Caleb on the other hand is one handsom bad boy mystery. Sure Caleb can be a little bit of a jerk but you never see him treating Amy that way! He's a good guy deep down i think and his colors haven't had a chance to show yet. So far we've seen his playful side, the flirt, the jerk, and then there is this side that hasn't seen light. Obviously i said that about his good guy side, but theres another side to him too like there is something we haven't seen yet that is going to blow your mind! Anyways although i LOVE Ty he's more Amy's type then mine ;) i'm not a bad girl but i tend to fall for the bad boys ... who would have thought. HORSES FOR EVER & HEARTLAND FOREVER! Peace out :P

I really liked Mark, the RCMP Officer (Jeffrey Roop, he's from Montreal woot). Hope he comes back for future episodes! He'd make make some awesome competition for Scott but I hope he develops a real relationship with Lou that they show and nothing like this lack of one-on-one action with Caleb and Amy or Ty and Amy.

PLEASE make season 1 into a dvd by Christmas!!

As always I loved it. Scott's becomeing a real jerk. i can't stand caleb. i feel so bad for ty. i really like whats going on with ashley, i mean in the first season she was really mean, but she's starting to not be as much. i really like what's going on wither and her mom. the episode was really great especailly (sorry for my spelling) when that rcmp officer did a join up with his horse. i can not wait till sunday.

I agree that Amy is going to lose Ty if she doesn't smarten up! This is nuts! That last look Ty gave Amy as she left with Caleb totally raised red flags...he's going to leave her, and it will be her fault! That was an INSANE episode! and i totally agree- Amy should have gone out with Ty instead of "going to look at a horse" with Caleb. I REALLY DONT LIKE HIM. Oh my gosh!!!!! Heartland is so so so so so great!!! The episodes just get better and better and I absolutely love watching it!!! If on Sundays dinner is late, I don't care I just convince my parents to let me eat upstairs!!!!! There is no way in the world I an ever miss an episode. Whenever I watch Heartland it kinda makes me think alot about my life and stuff like that. I kinda just go into this mode where nothing else matters. I am absolutely horse crazy, but I usually never get to spend any time with horses. So Heartland is kind of like something to.......... help me when I don't have real horses to do that. Which is normally never. One thing bad about Heartland though, Amy, you need to stop and think about you and Ty. First you get together, then he leaves, then he comes back, then you guys get together, then you out with Caleb!!!!! Poor Ty!!!!! He doesn't deserve that!!!!! But otherwise I think that it is great. If there is one thing I wish that couldn't be getting a horse, I'd wish to meet you guys.It's like you are all role models to me!!!! Hey Ty I think that its really cool that you come from Vancouver!!!! Have you ever heard of Vancouver Island????? I live there. Anyway, keep up the good work, Heartland is fantastic, so keep it that way!!!!!

I thought the cop's story was not believable, sorry. I really like Caleb and I wish he would not bother with Amy since she seems to be toying with him!!!
Getting really tired of the up and down Amy/Ty, Lou/Scot drama.

The last episode was emotionally up and down. I really wish Amy would open her eyes!!! She keeps telling Ty "maybe next time, ok". I was so angry at the end when she left with Caleb the jerk. The look on Ty's face was so sad. I hope she comes to her senses next week and is honest with Ty as to how she feels about him. They need to get together, and I hope the writers of the show don't mess with their love for each other too much. A drama is good, but not dragged on to much. I think Jack sees Amy struggling for the two guys and he may help Ty fight for her. They have topo much together to ruin it over the new annoying cowboy on hand. I think Scott will start fighting for Lou when he sees her starting to date Nick or the mountie...

Whats the deal with Ashley and Caleb??

2. Scott, look at episode 101 he looks handsome with his hair like that please keep that up!
3. Amy, she is the great caracter but she seems like she is quite bossy
4.Ty, I am in love with him, He is so HOT so very HOT!!!! But Ty u should kiss amy a bit more.!!!!!

I'm loving all the storylines but Amy and Ty's... mainly because I'm confused! What on earth is her problem with Ty? She kissed him, he kissed her back. How much more do they need to talk about it? I'm not even entirely sure why she's mad at him...

Amy is turning into a really flat character. She does the same thing in every episode....gets mad about something, flirts with Caleb, leads Ty on, and then blows him off. Ty is doing more to help horses than she is. Ty is becoming the star of the show...there is more depth to him than anyone else. Ty deserves to have some laughs and some regular conversation with someone, not just be on the receiving end of Caleb's nasty comments or Amy's temper and jealousy. Ty deserves someone better than Amy. And Lou would be much better off without Scott. Nick Harwell is more her type. Now, Jack and Lisa, or Mallory and Jake? Those are two good stories!

Once again another great episode. To all the people out there Mrs. Bell didn't die she was in the hospital and her family had to come and take Sugarfoot from Lou and look after him until she got better. Lou wasn't happy because she had become really attached to Sugarfoot. We really felt bad for Lou in this episode and we think Scott was such a jerk. He doesn't deserve her. I don't know about her and the cop though. I think she needs some time to get over all the guy mess she has had. Michelle Morgan does an amazing job as Lou.The whole Mallory and Jake story line was great and of course good old Jack saved the day for her again. We loved how Jack was with Lisa and the whole suit thing. We need to see more of them together. Jack is truly the pilllar and strength of the show. We don't like Caleb but we get that every show needs a jerk to make it interesting or else it would get boring. Ashley and Val are great characters. . We would like to see more of the Val character.It was great to see more about the horses and Amy healing or figuring out their problems.To all of the cast an amazing job.We look forward to this show every Sunday. CBC you have a winner!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm so I was wondering, is this the last season for Heartland? And also just how closely does the series follow the books because it seems the two are very different. P.S.: I hope that Ty and Amy end up together, they're perfect for one another and them being so up in the air is killing me.

I give this episode a 7/10.

After all that romance in 'Dancing in the Dark', 'Holding Fast' comes along and almost undoes everything. It's as if there has been a competition as to who could be the most OOC. And the competition is stiff.

But the Most Out-Of-Character Award goes to.....

Well, it was hard to decide, but Scott Cardinal wins it. From the start of the series, we all knew poor Scott had a crush on Lou, the daughter of his former employer. Nice, then, to know those feelings were reciprocated, right?? Lou proposed to the guy, for cryin' out loud, so it's clear she loves him a great deal.

Guess on Heartland, though, relationships somehow have to be complex, and conflicts must be manufactured where none existed in the first place. Scott's behaviour is puzzling at best; inconsistent at worst. What, is he all of a sudden scared out of his mind that the gal he thinks he loves also likes him, too? Is it a societal thing? Does he fear backlash from whichever First Nations Tribe he's supposed to belong to? I don't get what's happened.

Nick Hartwell and Const. Rodriguez are cute guys, truly, but they're flashes in the pan. Scott's character is supposed to be grounded and passionate about his job...and supposedly about Lou. Or maybe I'm just reading way too much into his character and seeing things that aren't there.

I was extremely relieved that Jack and Lisa weren't all of a sudden on the rocks after their earlier displays of affection. And since she seems to be a regular dinner guest at Heartland now, it would have been extremely bizarre if they'd broken things off. Since we know Lisa's supposed to be in at least two more episodes, ('Divorce Horse' and 'Seismic Shifts') I'm hoping with the extra episodes ordered for Heartland means we'll be seeing more of her and Jack.

We'll leave the whole Amy/Ty/Caleb triangle alone for now, since things are obviously nowhere near close to a resolution on that front.

Come on, writers, you can do better!

its annoying me how amy and ty stilll arent together , i am a bit dissapointed though coz last season it was all about there relationship so is this season

i also think that scott should swallow his pride and go back for lou...she obviously wants him back and he just doesn't want to state the obvious.
mallory needs to admit that she likes jake...obviously she likes him since she missed him when he went away cause she ignored him. that was kinda shaddy, the act that she ignored him to get rid of him. he is obviously in for it, she just needs to swallow her pride and get over the fact that they are in love. allong with amy and ty, lou and scott, and jack and lisa.

i love the relationships in heartland cause you cant anticipate what is about to happen. I LOVE IT!!!!!

As someone watching this show after absolutely falling inlove with the books, im moderately impressed. I know its hard to but a book series in tv shows. I think you picked some good people to play the characters and there is alot missing but i have moved on. However, watching this episode was thrilling but, disappointing. I agree with the people who think that some of the characters are inconsistent. Scott for one! How and Why are you making him out to be such an idiot!!! If you wanted to have some weird conflict with them mess it up with lou, not Scott. I see that this show is all about its relationship drama but i thought is was based on the books.. you know where amy HEALED horses!! Lets see some of that. The books were great, so are the shows! i love sunday nights! but lets not get to hollywood.
Overall, you're doing pretty good!
PS please let Amy and Ty be together... ive wanted this moment since i read the first couple books as a kid. Thanks:D

WOW! This show is amazing. CBC you have a winner here. From the stories lines to the beautiful scenery to the great actors Heartland has it all. We really need to see this show for many years to come. Congrats to all..

I think the show is great! but i really would like to see more about helping problem horses. that is one of the reasons i liked the books soooooooo much. i dont think that scott is really being that big of a jerk. lou was taking him for granted and always putting him second, he was hurt by that and it will just take him some time to recover thats all. Amy, on the other hand is being such a jerk! she got all jealous about ty just TALKING to whats her face(calebs friend) and then she blew him off TWICE for Caleb. its really bugging me how immature she is being. Mallory and Jake are just hilarious!! i love them and Jack and lisa are cute. i just really want to see more of what heartland is really about and that is healing horses.

Mallory and Jack's relationship is just hilarious. Jack is definitely the back bone of Heartland ,you gotta just love him .
The story line was so great this week all the old cast ...it was soooo good to see. Let's see more of them.

Grampa Jack steals the show. Love his interaction Mallory ... she is a cuttie. All the cast does a super job.

I liked this episode, as we are starting to see more heaaling of horses. Lets continue down this road please. And all of this drama with Scott and Lou and Amy and Ty is getting somewhat tedious. C'mon Ty and Amy!

I thought this episode was rather wishy washy, wishy washy Amy, ty, and Scot. I love bad boy Caleb, I AGREE WITH LINDSAY THAT HE IS ONE HANDSOME BAD BOY MYSTERY, AND I WOULD LIKE HEARTLAND FANS TO CALL HIM A BAD BOY, NOT A JERK. He is everything a girl could want; hot, funny, confident, and hot!! Yes and notice how great he treats Amy, so he is working very hard for her, ty on the other hand is not fighting very hard for Amy!! Also the only person that Caleb is snarky with is Ty, and why shouldn't he be since it is a battle to win Amy!!

I just want to say that I love your show. It is a great show for anyone to watch and has lots of great values and morals. I love the fact that everyone who acts is Canadian, and I love the fact that you are shooting in my home province of Alberta. Please keep up the great work and the great stories. Thank you for this show and all the hard work you do.

I loved this episode!! The suspense was awsome and I liked how there was a little Mallory drama there. Can't wait for next week!!!! I hope Amy and Ty end up together, like in the books. Scott is acting like a jerk and I hope Lou pulls through!!!!

Wow. That episode was bad. Caleb is such an ugly jerk, lol. Not kidding. Amy is so rude. Kissing Ty and then just going on dates with Caleb. Once again horrible acting, not surprised. Scott is such a wimp, Lou should just abandon ship and get together with someone who actually has a brain. That cop was an idiot! Why was he even trying to grab the beer from his brother anyway. It is called handcuffs! Or back up. I really don't see how anyone could like Caleb. Ty is way better, he's actually got a decent mind and cares about things. Instead of ol showoff buster here. I like the part about Ashley barrel racing though, a change from jumping alright. Before anyone thinks about, don't reply to my comment.

You know I absolutely looooooove Heartland... The story is amazing and the episodes are always excellent. However, I'm really starting to get tired with Amy's story line.. like make up your mind and choose already!!! Her pouting is getting really old and her leading Ty on continuously is sooooo annoying.. not to mention really, really unfair!! I hope this changes really soon.. can't wait for Sunday's episode

Our family loves the show! The camera work is fabulous and the scenery picturesque and beautiful! The horses are spectatcular. We also really love how much you value viewer's input. We are proud to have such an awesome Canadian made program! Keep up the good work!!

However, just a few thoughts.... with Scott and Lou... I know Scott is feeling a bit unsure and jealous, but it seems unnatural that he would go from being passionately in love with Lou to suddenly giving her the extreme cold shoulder and cut off. It's almost like there wasn't anything there in the first place, or at least nothing significant. Lou makes TWO attempts to talk to him, and it just seems unnatural that he wouldn't open up and at least explain himself. She deserves at least that, and it seems wierd that he basically says nothing.

With Amy, when she smiled and thanked Ty for helping her, her look at him was that of "yes I do love you", but then seconds later to just be too busy for his invitation again seemed unnatural. It's kind of makes you frustrated and lose interest a bit...

We love your show though! Can't wait to watch it tonight! :-)

My family and I were so looking forward to this second season of Heartland, as the first season was awesome...however, we have been increasingly disappointed with Season 2 so far! What happened to the focus on healing HORSES??? Isn't that what the books are all about? As viewers, we were so excited to see a show celebrating country living and healing horses, animals which we take care of and love, and now this show seems to be turning into one big soap-opera. All of the attention now seems to be on these ridiculous, painful love-triangles. I am honestly getting tired of this. Talk about out-of-character for Scott, for one thing, to all of the sudden start being a jerk to Lou...he's only had a crush on her since they were little, and then all of the sudden...?? And another big one- stop portraying Amy as this twotiming, self-centred person that she has become all of the sudden, completely out of character! It's really tiring to watch her use Ty again and again and nothing get better...C'mon, this ISN'T hollywood. And another thing: Amy is supposed to be the horse healer, for goodness sake, and Ty is around the horses more than she is! It was a breath of fresh air last episode to FINALLY see her working with horses again! If this keeps on going like it is, I am unfortunately tempted to just say, Forget it. I have other things to do with my time than see another disappointing soap-opera episode!

So please! We want to see more horses being healed, less foul language, no more out-of-character relationship tangles, more of the simple beauty that was in the first season. And Ty and Amy back together!!
