It’s homecoming for the McMaster Marauders.
Students and other fans can gorge at a free chili lunch on campus at noon before action gets underway at Ron Joyce Stadium at 1 p.m.
East coaster Basia Bulat is a Polaris Prize-nominated singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
She has toured throughout Canada, the U.S. and Europe, including two previous and acclaimed appearances with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.
There’s a 6:30 p.m. pre-show at Hamilton Place before the 7:30 p.m. curtain, and a meet and greet at 9 p.m.

Scientists in Schools will be coming by with science experiments for the kids, while Dirty South and Southern Smoke food trucks will be set up outside the front gates for the afternoon serving gourmet southern barbeque for visitors and volunteers.
The EcoHouse is located at 22 Veevers Drive in Hamilton, and the open house runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

On Saturday, YMCAs around the world — including Hamilton, Burlington, Waterdown and Brantford — will try to set a world record for the largest number of children and youth shooting basketballs in one day.
Come shoot hoops in the YMCA gym from 9 a.m. until noon to help set that record.

Get in a spooky mood with with the Hammer City Roller Girls at This Ain't Hollywood. The local women's roller derby team is hosting an evening of music, games and dancing in support of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
Doors open at 8 p.m. with roller derby bingo. The evening wraps up with a dance party with DJ Furtrade. Costumes and spooky attire are encouraged.
