As part of the 100th Grey Cup festivities, football legends of the past and present will be honored at the CFL Awards Thursday night. Hamiltonian and former CFL Players Association president John Agro is one of those legends.

Agro was a former Hamilton Tiger-Cat and co-founder of the CFL Players Association. He was a graduate of York University's Osgoode Hall law school. He practiced law in Hamilton after the Second World War. His practice is now known as Agro Zaffiro.

Agro's twin granddaughters, Carly and Charlsie, will present the John Agro Award Thursday evening for the league's most outstanding special team player.

The twin sisters are both part of the CBC family and they spoke about their grandfather with CBC News Network host Heather Hiscox Thursday morning.
