BRANT COUNTY, Ont. - Police are looking to find and thank some Good Samaritan motorists who rescued a woman trapped in an overturned pickup in a creek west of Hamilton.

Provincial police Const. Mark Foster says the truck went off the road and rolled over into the creek Wednesday night in Brant County.

He says passing motorists stopped to help and pulled the 41-year-old driver from the submerged truck in near-freezing temperatures before helping her up a steep embankment to an arriving ambulance.

Jennifer Slater of Haldimand County was treated for hypothermia and non-life-threatening injuries in nearby Hagersville.

Foster says some of the rescuers left without giving their names and that police would like to get in touch with them and thank them for their help.
