Hamilton man arrested after triplex trashed

A Hamilton man has been charged after a break-in and vandalism at a triplex in the city.
Early Friday morning at around 2 a.m., police were called when a suspicious man was seen outside the building near Barnesdal Blvd. and Dunsmure Rd.
Police say the man forced open the front door of the building, entered one of the units — which was vacant at the time — and started to do significant damage to the unit.
Police have arrested a 20-year-old Hamilton resident and charged him with breaking and entering, as well as mischief under $5,000.
