Hamilton taxi driver assaulted in Burlington

Burlington police are investigating an assault on a Hamilton taxi driver.
The taxi driver drove three suspects to a townhouse complex at 455 Woodview Ave. in Burlington around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. After reaching their destination, a dispute arose between the driver and the suspects. The dispute turned physical and the taxi driver was knocked to the ground.
A passerby intervened and called 911.
The taxi driver was taken to hospital by EMS with several fractures to his arm and face.
Halton Police are appealing to the public for any potential witnesses. They'd also like to speak to the passerby who helped the driver and called 911.
