Hamilton Catholic elementary teachers ratify contract

Hamilton's Catholic elementary and occasional teachers ratified their collective agreements with the school board on Thursday.
Elementary members of the local chapter of Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association voted 92 per cent in favour of their Dec. 12 deal with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board.
In addition, members of the occasional OECTA local voted 96 per cent in favour of their deal with the board.
“The board is extremely pleased to have reached ratified agreements with several of our employee groups,” Patrick J. Daly, the chairperson of the HWCDSB, said in a statement.
The board has also reached collective agreements with its secondary teachers and custodial staff.
