Hamilton Catholic Board reaches tentative agreement with elementary teachers

The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board has reached a tentative agreement with the elementary unit of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA).
OECTA president Nick de Koning said in a press release issued Thursday that a deal was struck Wednesday night.
This deal, if ratified, will keep elementary school teachers at work in Hamilton Catholic schools. The 1,065 elementary teachers with the HWCDSB still need to vote on the agreement.
OECTA says details of the agreement will be released after the ratification vote.
