Grinch tries to steal Christmas from Gore Park

Some might call him a Grinch.
City staff called police Friday afternoon when an elderly man tried to pull down Christmas lights as quickly as staff were putting them up in Gore Park.
Around 2 p.m., city workers installing the lights noticed the man trying to take them and shooed him away, police say.
He returned, and workers called police. The man ran off before police arrived.
Some of the lights were damaged in the incident, police say. The investigation is ongoing.
