Hamilton police have arrested a 26-year-old Grimsby motorcyclist after he was caught speeding at over 100 km/h over the posted limit.
On Monday, police were conducting traffic enforcement on Tapleytown Rd. when the man sped by at 182 km/h in the 80 km/h zone.
Police stopped the driver but not before he raced through a stop sign, Sgt. Terri-Lynn Collings explained. The man was charged with speeding and a stop sign violation as well as stunt racing. That's the charge for driving 50 km/h or more above the posted limit.
According to Collings, he has since been released on a summons for a court appearance at a later date.
