Special Olympics Canada will hold its first ever golf tournament on Saturday in the Hamilton area.
Athletes and coaches will hit the greens at the Chippewa Creek Golf and Country Club in Mount Hope.
The tournament will feature athletes with intellectual disabilities. More than 50 athletes are expected to participate. They'll be playing two nine-hole games of golf.
Golf pros from PGA Canada will be joining the special olympians and will offer advanced coaching sessions as well. The PGA is also developing a coaching program specifically for Special Olympics athletes.
Tee off time is 7:30 Saturday morning.
