Employee chases men who steal Hamilton debit machine

Police are looking for three suspects who stole a debit machine from a Shoppers Drug Mart on Centennial Parkway.

Three men walked into the store around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and took the machine from one of the check-out counters. An employee noticed, confronted them and chased them when they ran from the store, police say.

The employee caught up with the suspect carrying the bag containing the debit machine. The suspect pushed her to the ground. The three men were last seen heading eastbound on foot on Delawana Drive.

The suspects are described as follows:

  • A south Asian man, 20 to 25 years old, 5'8” or taller, medium build, dark eyes, short dark hair, “scruffy” face, white baseball cap, white or light pink Polo shirt, shorts and flip flops.
  • A south Asian man, 20 to 25 years old, 5'5” or taller, chubby, dark eyes, short dark hair with a possible slight curl with a slight build, wearing an argyle or checkered dark coloured shirt, pants and black shoes.
  • A south Asian man, 20 to 25 years old, taller than the other two suspects, lanky build, dark spiky hair, dark eyes, possibly wore glasses, wearing a black blazer/jacket and dark jeans with a white shirt on under the blazer.
