MELISSA AUF DER MAUR |
Rock musician Melissa Auf der Maur played with Hole from 1994
to 1999, and
Smashing Pumpkins until 2000. This past summer, she released her new
solo album
Auf Der Maur. She'll be taking the microphone in favour of her Greatest
Canadian.

CHARLOTTE GRAY |
Canadian author, professor and historian Charlotte Gray uses her expertise
at making history exciting to present an enthusiastic case for her
Greatest Canadian. Her latest book, The Museum Called Canada, just hit
bookstores in October 2004.

DEBORAH GREY |
A Politician, motorcycle enthusiast and former Reform Party MP Deborah Grey
uses her persuasive debating skills of behalf of her Greatest Canadian. In
October 2004, Grey released her memoirs, entitled Never Retreat, Never
Explain, Never Apologize.

PAUL GROSS |
One of Canada's best-known actors, from stage (The Deer and the
Antelope)
to television (Due South) to movies (Men With Brooms).
Paul Gross is ready to take centre stage for his Greatest Canadian.

BRET HART |
Wrestling legend Bret "The Hitman" Hart steps into a
new ring to take on the nine other Advocates on behalf
of his Greatest Canadian. Hart has won five WWF world titles and two
WCW U.S. titles in wrestling.

SOOK-YIN LEE |
Actor, musician, writer, director and broadcaster, Sook-Yin Lee works in all
areas of the media including her role as host and producer of Definitely
Not the Opera (DNTO) on CBC Radio One and as film-maker of the short film
Girl Cleans Sink (2004).

Accomplished broadcaster, teacher and writer, Rex Murphy
is the regular host of CBC Radio's Cross Country Checkup,
commentator in his weekly "Point of View" segment on The

Former "Warrior Princess" of This Hour Has 22 Minutes,
Walsh has been busy co-writing and starring in a one-hour
comedy pilot entitled Hatching,
Matching and Dispatching, as well as hosting her literary talk show series
on CBC, Mary Walsh: Open Book. Now, she's sharpening her wit to
fight for her Greatest Canadian.
