0800 Film Fest Feature Toronto writer/director Richie Mehta follows up his 2007 critically acclaimed feature film debut AMAL with SIDDHARTH. The new film gets its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival next week where it is in competition in the Venice Days program (akin to the prestigious Director's Fortnight at Cannes). We check in with Richie to find out how the Venice Festival is going, find out more about the heartbreaking real-life incident that inspired this new movie, and ask how he feels about showing his movie to a hometown crowd at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival.
