The International Festival of Authors runs through October 28th in Toronto...and until November 2nd with its outreach programme. Fresh Air's books panel---Becky Toyne and Erin Balser---provided details when they joined guest host Karen Gordon.

0830 Hockey player Derek Sanderson had it all---fame, fortune and plenty of fans. But then his NHL career spiraled downward and he hit rock bottom. The story of how Derek reclaimed his life is told in his new autobiography, Crossing The Line: The Outrageus Story Of A Hockey Original. Derek and his co-author, Toronto's Kevin Shea, were Karen's guests.
