0800 The Summer Olympics end later today...and it's been a Games with many highlights. However, as might be expected when athletes of this calibre perform at high levels...there have also been a variety of sports-related injuries. Dr. Mike Evans chose this as a "learning moment" when he joined Mary. You can hear why by going to Dr. Mike's column.
0830 A few weekends ago, Mary spoke with University of Toronto sociologist Markus Schafer about the challenges of making friends as an adult. Sharon Baker and Trish Murray have experienced this first-hand. That's why Sharon started Hamilton Sociable Singles and Trish joined an Ottawa-dased Meetup group which gets together weekly to make music. They elaborated when they joined Mary---Sharon was in the studio and Trish was on the phone.
