0730 Noel Edison is a busy guy. He's artistic director and conductor of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. He's founding artistic director of the Elora Festival AND he's also conductor of the Elora Festival Singers. Noel was busy preparing for this year's Festival when Mary Ito reached him by telephone.

0800 It's turning into a very hot and dry summer...following an abnormally hot and dry spring. And that's bad news for gardeners...and their greenery. Fresh Air's favourite gardener, Marjorie Harris, joined Mary to talk about the challenges and solutions when soaring temperatures and lack of rain conspire to turn everything brown.

0830 Her name is Lily C. She's a singer/songwriter who writes and sings in both Mandarin and English. Her first album was entirely IN Mandarin---she recorded it while living in Tawan. Now she's back in Canada and her sophomore CD is in English. It's called Reaching For Sunlight, and it's a collection of songs that reflect her journey to stay hopeful despite challenging circumstances. Lily elaborated when she talked with Mary.
