0730 Steve Koven is a jazz musician, a composer and an educator.
But...there's more to his CV. Steve is also a musical ambassador for Canada. In recent months he's flown the maple leaf playing concerts in Mexico, Equador and Barbados.
Steve joined Mary to talk about his international forays.

Steve and his Trio will be at The Gallery Studio Cafe, a new jazz venue in Toronto's west end tonight (March 10). And on March 25th, Steve and his bassist Rob Clutton will be at Musideum, also in Toronto.

0800 Stand-up comedian Darrin Rose is launching his "Chasing Manhood" tour tonight (March 10). Darrin is a cardigan-wearing comedian whose one- man show deals with the challenges of being raised by a big burly father and a tough older brother. Darrin joined Mary to reflect on what he went through...and how he's turned it into comedic gold. ;

0830 Toronto's Andrew Westoll was one of the finalists for this year's Charles Taylor Prize for Literary Non-fiction award ceremony. And his book--- The Chimps Of Fauna Sanctuary ---won! Andrew came into the Fresh Air studio to talk with Mary about the book.
