0800 Holiday hosting often involves alcohol. And that raises questions about your legal responsibilities as a host. Shelley Timms is past president of
Arrive Alive/Drive Sober---a registered charity whose mission is to eliminate impaired driving in Ontario. Shelley is also a lawyer whose company---Timshel Services---specializes in alcohol risk management. She joined Mary to clarify what needs to happen to ensure holiday festivities don't turn sour.
Listen
(runs 10:23)
There's plenty of valuable information about hosting, drinking and driving on the Arrive Alive website.
0830 It's The Wizard Of Oz...but it's the Ross Petty version. That makes it a wickedly, wacky family musical. And it's a holiday tradition. Two of the actors taking part are Jessica Holmes and Dan Chameroy. They joined Mary to talk about taking a few "liberties" with the version of the Wizard that YOU'RE probably familiar with.
Listen
(runs 9:57)
The Wizard Of Oz is at Toronto's Elgin Theatre from November 25 to January 6.
Complete details are at Ross Petty's Wizard Of Oz website.
