0800 Carol Bishop-Gwyn's book on the late Celia Franca, founder of the National Ballet of Canada, has been nominated for the Charles Taylor Prize for Non-Fiction. One of the dancers who met Celia as a 10 year old and who fwent on to become one of the company's great prima ballerinas is Veronica Tennant. Veronica produced a documentary on her former teacher and inspiration, called "Celia Franca: Tour de Force"
She joined Mary to talk about this ballet visionary.
