John Furlong brings more than 30 years of journalistic experience to his role as host of The Fisheries Broadcast. He’s worked in a number of mediums, including print, radio and television.

Furlong has assumed roles ranging from hosting Open Line shows for VOCM to working on the CBC Radio program, As It Happens, to producing the Award winning CBC Television documentary series, Soundings.

Prior to joining The Broadcast, John was Senior Producer of CBC Television’s supper hour news program, Canada Now.
