When does a national pastime become
a destructive personal obsession?
Just ask Patrick O'Sullivan. The 19 year-old centre for the Don Cherry's
Mississauga IceDogs hockey team
was considered a sure thing for an NHL career.
But, the brialliance of his reputation as a junior hockey player has been
tarnished
by the reputation of his father, John, as an obsessive, even abusive,
hockey father.
Bob McKeown talks to Patrick, his mother and his father as well as Don
Cherry and Wayne Gretzky about hockey, parents, and the roots of violence
in our national game.
