Heather Ingram
In 2002, thirty-year-old Heather Ingram of Sechelt B.C. plead guilty to having a relationship with her 17-year-old student in Sechelt, B.C. The student instigated the relationship and he did not consider that he had been exploited by the accused. She received a conditional sentence of 10 months to be followed by one year of probation. She appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show in an episode entitled The Worst Mistake of My Life, and on Larry King Live. She wrote a book called Risking It All: My Student, My Lover, My Story.

Patrica Gaukrodger
The twenty-six-year-old school teacher, from Kitchener, Ontario was convicted of the sexual exploitation of the fourteen-year-old victim, a former student. The teacher had become very close to the victim while his teacher and also had become very close to the victim’s family. She used this position to commit the offence for which she was convicted. The acts of exploitation included some seven acts of sexual intercourse over a period of about a month. The appellant received a sentence of 15 months plus two years probation.
Pamela Rogers
Former model and beauty pageant contestant also taught at Centertown Elementary School in McMinnville, Tenn. She was arrested in February, 2005 for allegedly having a three-month sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy. She resigned her teaching position and was charged with 15 counts of sexual battery and 13 counts of statutory rape and was sentenced to 270 days in August, 2005. In April, 2006 she got in more trouble, this time, for sending text messages, nude photos, and sex videos of herself to the same boy while using her father's cell phone. In July 2006, she was sentenced to serve eight years for violating her probation, and in January 2007, was given an additional two years for sending the photos.
Mary Kay Le Tourneau
The Des Moines, Wash., teacher did prison time after having sex with a sixth-grade student, Vili Fualaau, in 1996 and eventually had two children by him. She originally had Fualaau in her second-grade class at Shorewood Elementary School in Burien, Wash. The couple has since married.
