Police recovered "pots containing seven growing marijuana plants and 88 hanging harvested plants, and notes pertaining to the maintenance and harvesting of marijuana from the residence…192 growing marijuana plants complete with pots, irrigation and lighting systems from the quonset."

RCMP FIND EVIDENCE THAT ROSZKO WAS MONITORING LOCAL RCMP OFFICERS
"During the residential search police also found handwritten lists itemizing the names of RCMP members from Mayerthorpe, Whitecourt and Evansburg detachments. Associated to each name was the call sign of the police car normally used by each respective RCMP member and the cellular telephone numbers assigned to each car."

THE WEAPONS FOUND ON JAMES ROSZKO AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH
JAMES ROSZKO MAKES FIVE CALLS IN ATTEMPT TO DITCH WHITE PICKUP TRUCK
On the 8th of March 2005, the RCMP obtained a warrant from Justice of the Peace Andrew Holko to search the cellular telephone records of James Roszko.

These records reveal the incoming and outgoing cellular phone calls placed to and from Roszko's phone on March 2 to March 3, 2005. This covered the period of time after the bailiffs attended with police to sieze his vehicle to the time Roszko was confirmed to be dead.

ROSZKO CALLED HIS MOTHER ON MARCH 2
On the night of March 2nd she and her husband were away for most of the day and did not return home until approximately 7:30 PM. After she got home she received a call from James Roszko explaining that police were trying to repossess his truck and he needed a place to park it. He asked that she try to see if her sister would let him park it at her place. During the conversation he mentioned that he 'had made a will and they should pray or him'.

There were other calls back and forth with James Roszko wherein he was eventually told that he could not park the vehicle at his aunt's.

She believed that James Roszko and a friend were involved in the drug trade and that Roszko grew the marijuana while the friend sold it.

Once James Roszko asked her if she wanted a job. The job would entail cleaning marijuana heads. She refused.
