GUN Laws

In Georgia

Georgia’s gun laws are considered among the most lax in the U.S. Buyers are not required to have a licence or permit to buy a handgun and aren't required to take a safety course. All that is required is a clean record with no felonies. "Instant" background checks are done with no waiting period for purchase of handguns, shotguns, or rifles. Handguns are not required to be registered with law enforcement.

In Canada

Canada's gun laws are considered some of the most stringent in the world. The process varies by province. In Ontario, for example, in order to legally purchase a handgun the buyer must go through a series of steps including applying for a 'Possession/Acquisition License', passing the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course, as well as passing a background check, joining a handgun club and completing a mandatory club level handgun safety course.
