This site, written largely by working climate scientists tracks issues related to global warming. Described by the New York Times' Paul Krugman as "the go-to site for climate science" this site, claims to "provide a quick response to developing stories" on climate change.

DeSmogBlog
DeSmogBlog is a Canadian site that exists, according to its authors "to clear the PR pollution that is clouding the science on climate change." It tracks individuals and organizations it sees as being involved in the "highly organized public relations campaign" that is "poisoning the climate change debate."

the heat is online
Investigative reporter Ross Gelbspan's website about climate change and industry funded sceptics. Gelbspan is a retired reporter from the Boston Globe has authored several books on global warming, including The Heat Is On: The High Stakes Battle Over Earth's Threatened Climate.

Think Progress
Blog by the Center for American Progress outlining the dangers of global warming. This site also monitors the popular media and its coverage of this issue.

ExxonSecrets.Org
Warming Greenpeace USA's Website investigates the links between scientists who question the science behind global warming, and Exxon Mobil's connection. It also tracks organizations receiving money from this company as well as the studies funded by them. Greenpeace describes the site as graphically showing "the links between Exxon money, phony science, and pro-oil lobbying."

David Suzuki Foundation: Climate Change Skeptics
Canadian based group which monitors climate change skeptics. This site provides a comprehensive summary links on the science behind climate change and articles on the global warming denial movement.

Monbiot.com
British based journalist George Monbiot who writes regularly for The Guardian newspaper and has written extensively on global warming. His most recent book is called Heat: How to Stop the Planet from Burning.

ClimateScienceWatch
Climate Science Watch monitors federal spending on climate research. It claims to "hold public officials accountable for the integrity and effectiveness with which they use climate science and related research in government policymaking, toward the goal of enabling society to respond effectively to the challenges posed by global warming and climate change."

Senate Environment and Public Works Committee
This is the current US Senate majority website. Led by Senator James Inhofe (Rep.), the committee's website highlights claims that question what it considers the alarmism of many global warming scientists. On November 7, 2006, in the US mid-term elections, the Democrats regained control of the Senate from the Republicans. Sen. Inhofe will be replaced as committee chairperson by a Democrat.

Science and Enviromental Policy Project
The Science & Environment Policy Project, founded by atmospheric physicist S. Fred Singer challenges many of the accepted beliefs on global warming science.

Global Warming
Competitive Enterprise Institute of Washington seeks to advance "the principles of free enterprise and limited government." Their Cooler Heads Coalition site attempts "to dispel the myths of global warming by exposing flawed economic, scientific and risk analysis." Its website states that "The risks of global warming are speculative; the risks of global warming policies are all too real."

Patrick J. Michaels
Dr. Pat Michaels, a leading climate science sceptic's homepage at the CATO Institute of Washington. His most recent book is called Meltdown: The Predictable Distortion of Global Warming by Scientists, Politicians, and the Media.

Friends of Science
The Friends of Science is one of the more important groups in Canada that questions the accepted science behind global warming. Their video, "Climate Catastrophe Cancelled: What You're Not Being Told About the Science of Climate Change" is posted online. This Calgary-based group describes itself as a "non-profit organization made up of active and retiredengineers, earth scientists and other professionals, as well as manyconcerned Canadians, who believe the science behind the Kyoto Protocol is questionable."

Natural Resources Stewardship Project
Natural Resources Stewardship Project claims to be a "high profile, independent and professional non-profit entity" which counters "the government relations and communications of today's powerful and well-funded environmental lobby." The NRSP is another Canadian group that focuses on questioning the science behind climate change.

An Inconveient Truth
An Incovenient Truth claims to give "a passionate and inspirational look at [Al Gore's] fervent crusade to halt global warming's deadly progress in its tracks by exposing the myths and misconceptions that surround it." Al Gore was recently awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in this area.

Stuart Dimmock vs. Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families
The British High Court recently decided that An Inconvenient Truth heard a case as to the accuracy of An Incovenient Truth. The case was brought by Stewart Dimmock, who accused the British government of "brainwashing" children by requiring that Gore's movie be shown in schools. Judge Burton took issue with nine points of fact, but concluded that the film's presentation was broadly accurate and that Al Gore's thesis that man is disastorously changing the climate is supported by a "vast quantity of research" and "the great majority of the world's climate scientists."
