Wow. You must be quite the perfect little neo-con fascist to sit on your high horse and judge Nadia's choices even though she is no longer with us. Welcome to the 21st century where women have the right to work, dance, wear the clothes they want, and choose whatever they like. Who are you to accuse her of having an abortion even though she states that she mis-carried. Let her rest in peace and let her family have whatever vision they want of their daughter in life. How about instead of sitting around and pointing your finger at everything that is going wrong in the world, you grow and raise your children to be equipped to make smart decisions in today's and tomorrow's world...Just a thought.
He was finally convicted. William Dinkell, sick man.
One of the most disturbing 5th estates yet. However, as disturbing as this creep is, what alarms me even more is that the RCMP Internet Crime Division had to be nagged and hounded by an old lady in another country before they got off their butts and did anything whatsoever.
Makes me shudder what else this division of the RCMP is letting go by unchecked. Just remember the RCMP Act though, they must always be the highest paid cops in Canada! Its the Law....
I think this is the most important question? A grandmother in a different oountry, with no training, no funding and no resources found this guy. How is it possible that teh police were unable to find him adn stop him. Unbelievable!!
this guy is the lowest bottom-feeder on the planet. what a piece of garbage.
What a beautiful girl.
If a amateur internet user, like Grandma Celia Blay can decifer the Cami D's true identity what the hell is wrong with the RCMP Internet Crime group? They are slacking and getting away with it.
I was told virtually the same thing by the Ottawa Police. I have been stalked for 10 years, and they (Ottawa Police)2/11/2009 quote:
I feel for your situation Mr. Larose but unfortunately, there is nothing I can do on my end to help rectify the situation given the use of untraceable international server's being used by Mr. *** .....matters involving him have also been looked at by our High Tech Crime Unit in the past.
The last I heard, the FBI were looking at Mr. *** for his internet activity in Texas.

May the departed soul of Nadia be blessed with the God speed and lest should we forget that the Devil is not only the custodian of Hell instead he is lurking amongst us;camouflaged as a chameleon !!
What a story. Great job on the coverage. There is no doubt in my mind that lives have been saved due to the Mrs.Celia Blay. Unbelievable human being. Im confident that such a powerful story outlining the evil of some individuals surfing the internet has the potential to save many more. I will be watching the outcome of this trial which i hope will set a precedent..
May God Bless @ keep Celia Blay Safe.more people like her are needed in this world.I'm dealing with a family member that has Bi-Polar and it can be quite stressful. My biggest fear is she will meet someone like that IDIOT on line. If there is any way to contact Mrs Celia Blay PLEASE do ,on my behalf.Shame on the POLICE that take so many things for granted .That young girl could have been saved. When seeing Mrs Blay on line during her interview it was quite clear from the pain on her face that she is an honest,God sent indivual.WE need more like her in this painfilled world of ours.
I don't see what euthanasia, prostitution, and marijuana have to do with this story. Euthanasia is an extremely tough issue. I think it deserves debate, but will likely always remain illegal. As for the other two - what right does any government have to tell us what non-lethal activities we can do with our own bodies. The only justification I can think of is health care - if people choose to smoke, for example, then perhaps the gov't has a right to say they must pay for any smoking related illnesses they get later on... But other than that, how can government justify telling Canadians they CAN smoke tobacco but CANNOT smoke marijuana? Besides that question of legitimacy, there is also pragmatic concerns - keeping marijuana illegal bolsters a growing drug cartel. Legalize it and the gangs will have no source of income! At any rate, these issues have nothing to do with the story above!
admirable work, both of the British lady, and CBC. This bold in-depth treatment of a topic which by media-standards might seem obscure raises the bar, both for other branches of CBC and beyond. It doesn't take a focus on a spectacular disaster, war or politician to create journalism that matters for many. Good on you!
Nadia Kajouji’s story is a sad one but what got her to the point of suicide. Coming from a wonderful loving home and, by the pictures shown on the Fifth, thrown into a life of drinking and partying. Getting pregnant, she says she had a miscarriage, that she had no ‘choice’. Choice is an abortion word, but, as she had said about wanting to make her suicide look like an accident so as not to hurt her parents, claiming a miscarriage is less hurtful to Mom and Dad. Post abortion depression is very common but not talked about as abortionist in this country get the Order Of Canada. As for William Melchert-Dinkel, he should have come to Canada and teamed up with Svend Robinson. Euthanasia, prostitution and marijuana are all currently illegal in Canada but the Liberal/NDP party is working to have these activities legalized. As a father of two girls and a son my deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the Kajouji family and I am angered by a society that stands by and does nothing as a young girl takes her own life.
Thank you CBCs Fifth Estate et al: Good work:
Endlessly patient Mrs Sylvia Blais in UK ,must understand the hypnotic mindlessness of e-cybernetics impact on the human mind: Yet stays connected herself with the real world. Good for her & may the criminals be tried & if found guilty & not exonerated by way of mental illness, locked away forever or humanely executed.
Seems to me that morbid 'nurse' William Francis Melchert-Dinkell is also a product of a defective medico culture & have seen some terribly unethical scenarios beyond Mash.
I apologize for getting the lady's name wrong,it's actually Celia Blay, never the less, she's amazing.
Thank you to Celia Blay.
Thanks goodness for the determination of Cecila Blay! She deserves an award for persisting - SHAME on the police not to follow through and get the information to the correct department!!!
I would truely love to chat with the woman who took her time to investigate all of this insaqne story. No words can explain how I feel about the situation....so sick. I often wonder what is happening to this world of ours. If possible please contact the woman who started this search and give her my praise....
Thank you to the 64-year-old grandmother who discovered and persisted this find. My two teenagers thank her as well!
Bless Sylvia Blight, there needs to be more people like her, people who care enough to see that justice is served. That man needs some serious help and needs to see full punishment for his crimes. If it's online it seems to be unreal to people and harmless but look at what's it's doing to so many loved ones.We need to open our eyes to what's out there that can harm our children and continue to be involved in their lives no matter what it takes. My hat is off to Sylvia, the way you love and care for people shows in what you do,keep up the good work,God Bless You.
Thank-you for your show and bringing this story to light. I also want to express my gratitude to Mrs. S. Blake for her work. She should be given a medal or an award!
From a concerned citizen who cares about the welfare of others - Denise
Thanks for his documentary - really I so speecheless that humans can sink to this level.. i just don't know what to say
My heart goes out to the victims especially to Nadia so tragic. She could've gotten help, she could've gotten back on track with school only if deranged people like that prick William Dinkell was not in this world! He belongs in a mental institution because he is very disturbed
All I Have To Say About This Episode Is, The World Needs More People Like Celia Blay!!! What An Amazing Woman! If It Wasn't For Her, William Francis Melchert-Dinkell, Would Still Be Out There aiding in the misfortune of other People like Nadia, an average young women hit by awful experiences and a feeling of no relief! For A Man To Pray on that, is distrubing, even though it happens in more ways than one, we as human beings, need to see a show like this and ones before it that The Fifth Estate has aired, to stop and think about what kind of world we live in! Its Sad To Say, But History Seams To Be repeating itself.
I just watched this episode on tv and was amazed to see there are people out there who have been preying on people who are in a lowpoint of their lives! Internet is a resourceful place but it is also a very dangerous place since there's no real filtering/ monitoring system. This is such an example where we are so dependent on technology that through technology, it can take people's lives.
Fortunately there are good hearted people like the grandmother in UK who are persistent to save the vulnerable individuals even when she encountered many blocks along the way. Thankfully to her, many people's lives have been saved and the deaths of a few have brought to justice. A true heroin who just want to make rights in this world while not asking for fame but just the gratification of knowing that she has helped in some way. Thank you for being an exemplary, caring citizen.
God bless that woman in england who cared enough to stop this man.
It seems that so many people are doing illegal and immoral things on and through the internet and getting away with it.
It is long overdue to not allow it any longer.
I am scared for our children who are so influenced by the internet and who are exposed to the worst kinds of people without little protection from our international community. There is more bullying online than anywhere else in our society, kids are doing things that they never would do because of the influence of the internet...kids are reading things that other kids say about them and committing suicide because of it...where are the parents? How come these kids are not monitored? Parents have to pay attention to what their kids are doing online, especially once they reach puberty...the internet is like giving kids free drugs or booze-we would never expose them to that, but we are allowing them to be exposed to much worse by letting them on the internet without monitoring them. There are so many predators who use the internet to get away with the most immoral of actions. The fact that anyone can upload, download and stream video to watch, upload video to see, is very scary and needs to be controlled. Free world doesn't mean free to be a predator, nor free to be a child molester, not free to do whatever you want to anyone you want...I hope this case educates people on what is actually happening on the internet so more people participate in stopping it from happening.
It's like, if you live in a neighborhood, there may be 1 or 2 predators that you have to watch out for..but now, the internet makes it so there are actually thousands of predators that you have to watch out for and it is impossible to do...
William Francis Melchert-Dinkell is not the only online predator in the United States who maliciously goads vulnerable people into committing suicide. I was the target of a vicious smear campaign carried out by a convicted Canadian criminal, who wanted to protect his fellow predators in the alt.suicide.holiday newsgroup (where Melchert-Dinkell sought out prey) when I attempted to do what Celia Blay did successfully: bring a ruthless online American predator to the attention of the criminal justice system. Although I successfully pursued a civil defamation claim against the Canadian defendant protecting the predator, the defendant continues his smear campaign via his agents and accessories even to this day... I hope that the courts make an example of Melchert-Dinkell by prosecuting him to the full extent of the law, which will also allow his predecessors be prosecuted and deter any successors. However the US Government has negligently sat upon the Suzanne Gonzales Suicide Prevention Bill (HR 853) for nearly two years by leaving it languishing in committees. Had it been voted into law, Melchert-Dinkell’s prosecution would have been certain.
I hope and pray that Deborah gets some justice.
