Interview: Amber Ostrowski
An excerpt from fifth estate producer Morris Karp's interview with Amber Ostrowski on Dec 7, 2009 in Winnipeg.
Amber Ostrowski's father, Frank Ostrowski, was convicted in 1987 of first-degree murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison without parole in connection with the shooting death of Robert Neiman in 1986. It was the prosecution's case, lead by George Dangerfield, that hair-stylist turned drug dealer Ostrowski had put a hit out on Nieman, who sold drugs for Ostrowski, in revenge for Nieman telling police where Ostrowski kept his stash of drugs. Frank Ostrowski has always maintained he had no hand in Neiman's murder. Eleven days following this interview, Frank Ostrowski, now 60 years old, was released on bail after spending more than 23 years in jail. Frank Ostrowski's conviction is currently under review by the federal Justice Department as a possible wrongful conviction.
