The Crew and Passengers of Flight 491
Pilot Matthew Davis and First Officer Tim Lanouette were the crew of Cougar Flight 491 on the morning of March 12, 2009.
Flight 491 was scheduled to depart St John’s at 9:00 AM and make two stops on the Grand Banks. Two of the 17 passengers, Wade Duggan and Gary Corbett, were bound for the Hibernia platform, 167 nautical miles south east of St. John’s. The other 15 passengers on Flight 491 were going to work on the Sea Rose offshore oil vessel, another 32 nautical miles due east of Hibernia.

He sustained injuries including a broken ankle and burst vertebrae in his back.
