Fighting in hockey, through the eyes of the people who know it best: the players. When Don Sanderson died in January after hitting his head on the ice during a hockey fight, a national debate erupted. On one side, those who argue that fighting debases what is already a fast, violent sport and imperils the lives of the players. But, there are those who argue that fighting actually makes the game safer, is a natural release valve and will always be a part of our national sport. Bob McKeown talks to some of the NHL's storied and current heavyweights: Marty McSorley, Nick Kypreos, and Georges Laraque, as well as Leafs' General Manager Brian Burke and two of the sports most knowledgeable and vocal commentators: Don Cherry and Bob McCown. And he talks to Don Sanderson's father, Mike, for whom this is no debate at all, but a tragedy.
