With burning embers floating up to the heavens while rain and sleet poured down, models marched around a courtyard while audience members swaddled in Hudson Bay blankets looked on in awe. Campfires and Canadian hospitality was the inspiration for Dixon's latest collection. The translation? A truly memorable show steeped in drama and beautifully turned out silhouettes.

Comrags - Fall/Winter 2007

For Fall 2007, Joyce Gunhouse and Judy Cornish threw caution to the wind when approaching their latest collection. “We’re having a really hard time summarizing the theme. Usually we say we want to do an androgynous collection. This time we allowed ourselves the freedom our customers allow us - to do whatever we want to do, and pull it together in a fun way.” Shapes were forgiving, freeing and - in that signature Comrags style - street tough but functional and fabulous. When Gunhouse’s 10 year old daughter Sally decreed, “This is my mom’s best collection yet,” - we at Fashion File simply had to concede the point.
