YSL Rive Gauche Mens - Spring/Summer 2004

The 70’s is Tom Ford’s favourite decade and he capitalized on that golden period with his retro inspired YSL menswear collection. Following in Yves St. Laurent’s footsteps, Tom dabbled in the favoured colour palette of Mr. St. Laurent. The plums, reds and yellows made this truly a French collection.

Tom Ford’s retooling of the Saint Laurent image took another step forward with his Spring/Summer collection for men. Building on the return to formality in menswear that began in the fall, Ford was looking to make a strong statement in suiting, structure and a new urban silhouette for summer.
