Lacoste - Spring/Summer 2004
In the 1930's, French tennis legend Rene Lacoste, nicknamed 'the crocodile' for his tenacious play, invented a new kind of tennis shirt, using a then-revolutionary cotton pique fabric. It was an instant smash and the 'little crocodile' went on to become a world famous brand. Rene Lacoste passed away in 1996 but his name is as famous as ever. This spring, the Lacoste company held a fashion show in New York, armed with a new designer and a new direction.
