Sardinia-based designer Antonio Marras has proved a brilliant match at the house of Kenzo. He is fascinated by travel, culture, and the craft of making clothes, while his geographical distance from cities like Milan and Paris has kept his joy and humor on the subject intact. Kenzo - Spring/Summer 2005
Kenzo went on a journey this season, as Antonio Marras infused his second collection for the house with African influences. Marras’ love of spectacle and dance were on display, as he showcased patterned, colourful, and embellished clothing. The only question that remains is where will Antonio Marras take Kenzo next?

Kenzo - Fall/Winter 2004
The House of Kenzo has a new artistic director this season. Taking over from the outgoing Gilles Rosier, the Italian designer Antonio Marras is the second head designer of the Paris-based house since 1999, the year its founder Kenzo Takada retired.
Born and still based in Sardinia, Antonio has been running his own label since 1996. He's known for his avant garde designs, which feature a fearless use of colour, pattern and layering - a sensibility that should fit in well with the Kenzo aesthetic.
