When I saw Estee Lauder's new Turbolash Vibrating mascara in WWD this morning, I laughed out loud. A battery-operated mascara wand sounds like surefire way to start the day in the ER with a serious cornea scrubbing. Estee Lauder argues that "the lashes instantly separated and spread apart" when the vibrating brush was applied to lash line, but I'm still not convinced. I'll take my chances with my regular, non-mechanized wand (Lash Out by L'Oreal), and a safety pin.
