Cree Youth return from Peru

Cree youth from Eeyou Istchee are back from an epic adventure in Peru. A group of 5 youth went to the South American country for 2 months to volunteer. They spent their time making stoves and teaching English and even learning a little Spanish. Vincent Georgekish spoke with one of the participants, Joy Kitchen from Waswanipi.

Whapmagoostui goes to the polls

The people of Whapmagoostui First Nation elected their new Chief in August. The canadidates for Chief were Stanley George and Losty Mamianskum. Vincent Georgekish interviewed them both.

Serious motorcycle accident raises safety concerns

A motorcycle accident in Chisasibi has raised some questions about road safety in the community. A young man in his 20's hit a hydro pole on August 17, 2012. He was immediately airlifted to Montreal for treatment, where he remains. Joshua Loon spoke with Archie Moar with the First Response Unit in Chisasibi.
