New 5 year health funding agreeement for Eyou Istchee
Representatives of the Cree Nation signed a new 5 year funding agreement for the Cree Board of Health and Social Services on Friday July 20th in Chisasibi. The deal lays out the priorities for Health care in Eyou Istchee until 2018. Roderick Rabbitskin spoke with Roderick Pechano, chief negotiator for the GCCEI.

A young man from O.J. sings with Enrique Iglesias
A 22 year-old Cree man from Eyou Istchee had the experience of his life at J.Lo and Enrique Iglesias concert in Montreal recently. Joshua Salt from Oujé-Bougoumou ended up singing "Stand by me" with Enrique on stage at the Bell Centre. Joshua Loon spoke to him about it.

Crees elect new chairperson for Cree School Board
Voters in Eyou Istchee will choose a new chairperson this coming week for the Cree School Board. With the lowest graduation rate in Quebec, now is a critical time for edcuation in our territory. The election is on July 11th with two candidates running.
