Eeyou Eenou Police Force officially opens headquarters

IMG00259-20110628-1505.jpgAnother historic event was held in Eeyou Istchee, as the official opening of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force headquarters in Chisasibi was officially opened. Vincent Georgekish spoke to the Director of the EEPF, Reggie Bobbish to talk about the official opening of the headquarts.

As many people were present at the event, including people from the Grand Council of Cree's and the Cree Regional Authority. Vincent Georgekish also spoke to Grand Chief, Matthew Cooncome to talk about the opening of the headquarters.

Wemindji youth record second album

Our youth are always up to new projects. One of the most creative is making a CD with the youth in the community. Wemindji recently came out with its second youth CD, called "Wemindji Sings 2". Vincent Georgekish spoke to Wemindji Youth Chief Jeremiah Mistacheesick about the new album.

Report shows impacts of climate change on Crees

The world has experienced some major climate changes in recent years, and the North is where those changes are being felt first. Cree Public Health recently released a report on the subject. Melissa Natachequan spoke with Cree Trappers Association President Thomas Coon who contributed to the report.
