Real Ski Report for December 6th


Big snow has resorts and cross country areas opening more terrain. But we've also seen an increase in avalanche risk in many areas. Here's a photo from a recent camper trip in the Icefields Parkway. Skiing bottomless powder for a good cause! Listen to the Eyeopener on Thursday, December 13th for your chance to win a powder skier's dream package. This is part of the CBC Calgary Suncor Energy food bank drive. So all money raised will go right to the food bank. Here's what's up for auction:

- A two day, two night cat skiing package for two at Selkirk Wilderness Skiing north of Nelson, BC. This was the original cat skiing operation in the world and has a massive tenure the size of Whistler, Blackcomb and Vale combined. So you can always bank on getting fresh turns.

You'll be able to choose from eight different models then choose the stiffness that's right for you, depending on your ability and favourite terrain. You can even choose custom graphics for the skis.
