Calgary Comic Craziness!

picard.jpgThe Calgary Comic And Entertainment Expo wrapped up in Calgary after drawing record crowds to the BMO Centre.
So many people showed up in fact that organizers had to stop selling tickets. The Calgary fire department was called in to control the flow of people. Many fans were not happy about the long line-ups. Steven Hodges helped organize the convention. He spoke with the Eyeopener's David Gray.

Porcupine Hills

porcupine-hills-alberta-7041.jpgThe Porcupine Hills, south of Calgary, are home to some of the largest intact native grasslands in the province.

That's why some local ranchers are upset about seismic drilling in the area.

But oil and gas exploration companies -- and the province -- say the environmental impact of the drilling is minimal.

The CBC's Allison Dempster travelled to Porcupine Hills.
