Beef recall interactive timeline

The biggest beef recall in Canadian history started with a routine test for E. coli at the United States border on Sept. 3. In the following weeks at least 12 people from B.C. to Newfoundland would become ill and the recall would consume almost 2,000 products, prompting admissions of failure from inspectors and the Alberta slaughterhouse.
