It’s the 17th Annual CBC Turkey Drive and we need your help!

CBC Edmonton’s biggest fundraiser to support Edmonton’s Foodbank runs from Thursday, December 13 to Thursday, December 20 and our goal is $230,000 (or about 9200 turkeys valued at $25 each).

Each day of the Turkey Drive, with our partner Lilydale, we will collect monetary donations and frozen turkeys for Edmonton’s Foodbank.

Plus if you are coming down to donate, don’t forget to join us each weekday from 11:45-1 p.m. for our free weekday lunch-hour entertainment on the CBC Centre Stage. See the calendar below for details.

Donating is as easy as 1, 2, 3

1. Online Now
2. *In-person at CBC in City Centre Mall (weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from noon to 5 p.m.)
3. In person at the Edmonton Food Bank from 8:30-4:30 p.m. weekdays

*North of the mall on the one-way at 102A ave we will have a Turkey Drop Zone if you need to park for five minutes to drop off your donation to the CBC.

Donations of more than $20 will receive a tax receipt from the Edmonton Food Bank. Please make cheques payable to Edmonton Food Bank.

Put the fun in fundraising!

Get your school, business, and/or organization involved to help feed the hungry this holiday season.

The K-12 school that donates the most to the CBC Turkey Drive will win the Junior Turkey Spirit Award and organization that contributes the most will win the Turkey Spirit Award.

The organization and school that contributes the most to the 17th Annual CBC Turkey Drive will win the Turkey Spirit Award.

The trophy will be engraved with the name of the winning organization/school, and be presented by a CBC Personality on December 21st, and can be kept for display until the following December.

A round of applause for our 2011 Turkey Spirit Award winners:

• Junior Turkey Spirit Trophy: Holyrood School who donated $22,350 (or 745 turkeys)
• Turkey Spirit Award: Landmark Group of Builders who donated $32,815 (or 1094 turkeys)
