Celebrate Pecha Kucha
Night 17 with CBC on Saturday, October 5th.
Presented
by Edmonton's NextGen, Progress Unlimited, and MADE, the event will feature
dynamic and engaging six-minute and 40-second presentations on the theme of Designing
Downtown.
What
do you want downtown to look like? That's the question people will be talking
about as Edmonton hosts this
exciting, national conversation on how we can transform
our downtown centres.
Join
presenters from across Canada in this live and streamed event which will
challenge our thinking on how we design, transform, and develop city cores.
Get inspired at Pecha
Kucha Night 17 with this fun and fast-paced event that restricts presenters to only
20-slides of 20-seconds each to present their ideas.
Tickets
are on-sale now at Tix on the Square.
Edmontonians are also encouraged
to immerse themselves in the Designing Downtown movement with makescape2 from 3-11pm in Centennial Plaza
(behind the Stanley Milner Library) prior, during and following PKN 17. This
project is an urban intervention that uses design/art elements, food, and
entertainment to transform an underutilized space into one that entices
passerbys to engage with the space differently.
