Richmond School Board Public Meetings

Public Meetings Regarding Richmond Schools Long Range Facilities Plan

The Board of Education is inviting the public to discuss the Long Range Facilities Plan.  There will be a presentation of the plan, followed by an opportunity for more information sharing on Steveston Secondary, Old Mitchell, the District Works Yard and options for City Centre schools.  Two public meetings have been organized for the discussion of these sites with the community.  The first meeting takes place on Wednesday, February 15 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Cambie Secondary School located at 4151 Jacombs Road in Richmond.  The second meeting takes place on Tuesday, February 21, 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Steveston-London Secondary School located at 6600 Williams Road, Richmond.

Doctoral Exam: Luigi Cherubini's Requiem

Kevin Zakresky is an assistant conductor of Chor Leoni and a doctoral student of music at Yale University. This Saturday he will conducting Cherubini's masterpiece at St Andrews Wesley United Church. The concert will be part of his doctoral conducting exam for Yale. Participating in the concert will be Chor Leoni,  EnChor along with Sea to Sky Symphony.

Vancouver philanthropists Gary & Nanci Segal in partnership with the UBC Faculty of Medicine are organizing a fundraising Evening to Bring Back Hope on April 4th to help Dr. Hodes' life-saving mission in Ethiopia with an allocation to the UBC Branch for International Surgery, to build capacity and long-term sustainability in Dr. Hodes' work.
